TDB announces financial assistance for innovative EV Technology in intercultural farming operations

The Technology Development Board (TDB) has announced financial assistance to M/s Krishigati Pvt. Ltd., Pune for their EV technology project. TDB comes under the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Titled as “Axle-Less Multipurpose Electric Vehicle for Modern and Precision Farming,” the project demonstrates a substantial step towards the indigenization of the technology for in agriculture. TDB’s financial support underscores the project’s potential to drive technological advancements within the agricultural industry.

An IP-based solution “Self-Propelled Electric Agricultural Tool Bar” (Krishigati Electric Bull) designed for climate-resilient farm mechanization is at the heart of this India’s first ever such initiative . This innovative tool aims to support the goals of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, by indirectly contributing to the doubling of income and production for marginal farmers.

Krishigati’s project aims to produce and market these groundbreaking products, which have the potential to significantly impact the agriculture industry. Currently, no other company is producing an axle-less multipurpose electric vehicle for agricultural use, highlighting the unique market need and economic potential of this technology.
